Replica double quatrefoil ouches from the portrait of Elizabeth 1, dated 1570-1580, by an unknown artist. (National Portrait Gallery link- https://npgshop.org.uk/…/queen-elizabeth-i-npg-200-print)
Slightly larger than my other ouches, measuring 1.25” square, they have 4 loops on the back so they can be strung on two wires for a carcanet (necklace) or girdle (jeweled belt) or they can be sewn directly onto a garment. I added holes in the four points so that they can be joined with jump rings or other connectors if desired, or a pendant can be attached. These measure 1/4″ thick and are nice quality costume jewelry and do not contain real gemstones or precious metals. (They are nickel-free plated metal alloy). They are a wonderful weight, substantial but light enough to use 80 of them on a court dress without being too heavy.
I designed these and had them manufactured to be as close to the ouches in the portrait as possible. You can’t get them anywhere else.
